By logging in to any "Dwarfstar Gaming" servers, you are agreeing to the following rules and guidelines listed below. By playing on the Dwarfstar servers you are aware that failure to follow the rules will result in disciplinary action. We request that you keep yourself up to date with these rules, as they may change without notice (though we will try to give proper notice).
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any of the Dwarfstar administration. If you feel that someone has broken one of these rules please contact an admin in game, on Discord, or via Steam message, please do not lodge complaints in a public space (global, general chat, steam comments/discussions).
Rules and server settings are able to be changed by vote. If you would like to start a vote about changing an aspect of the server contact an admin and if it is approved they will announce a vote, with a time period depending on the severity of the change. Each player will have time to discuss the change and vote using the submitted method (Google Poll, or Discord Discussion voting). Once the allotted time has passed, the results will be announced, and any necessary changes will be enacted as soon as possible. Outside of the vote, all rules will be final during the current season. Any loop holes will be addressed in suggested rules updates prior to a new season start. Game breaking issues can result in the season rules being modified by Modsouls without vote. Notice of changes can be found in the Admin-Announcements discord channel and pinned for the remainder of the season.
This server hosts community events which are meant to be fun for all, as such PvP/raiding during an event on any server is not allowed and will be dealt with harshly. All events are announced in steam, our website, and in Discord. Raiding is prohibited 30 minutes prior to and following a staff sanctioned event. Do NOT build bases or grief players at spawn in Points!
General Rules
1. Keep needless toxicity and drama out of global chat, if you have beef take it up in local, Discord, or via Steam message. 2. Discord Staff and game Admins are to be respected at all times, err on the side of caution. It is okay to defend yourself if staff oversteps, but keep it civil. 3. Do not grief. This rule should be self-explanatory. Administration reserves the right to determine if griefing is occurring. 4. Do your part to keep the servers clean, remove structures you are done with. 5. New players may request beginner protection for 48hrs, this protection is removed if they attempt to raid during this time. 6. No PvP is allowed whatsoever at any Safe Zones. This includes sniping tames. Obelisks are safe zones in this season! 7. World pvp is anything involving killing players or tames away from their main base. This is allowed at all times. Specifically hunting/camping a single player or tribe could be ruled as griefing or an act of war starting a raid timer. 8. Tribe size limit is 7 players. 9. Players and tribes shown to constantly skirt just on the edges of our rules will be considered toxic* to the community, finding ways around our rules and pushing the limits of what is allowed is not sportsmanlike and does not cultivate a strong community. 10. Items may not be stored in passive Dinos while inside your base. This rule is in place to help prevent raiders from killing everything you own. 11. Open world turrets are only permitted if a member of the tribe who placed the turrets remains in render mode, allies do not count. Do not build turrets in render range of safe zones. 12. Building in the mesh, or traveling in the mesh, tribes caught doing this will be structure or tribe wiped at admins discretion, there will be no warning from Admins.
Saddle Rules
1. Quetzal - do not obstruct any part of the quetzal. Plant Turrets are allowed to a maximum of 6. Auto turrets are not allowed. Riders may be protected. 2. Paracer - structures are not to touch the ground, the Paracer must be able to be hit by enemies and defenses. Plant turrets are allowed and unrestricted. Auto turrets are not allowed.
Raiding Rules
1. Offline Raiding is prevented with Vanilla ORP, 30 minute activation. Combat logging to prevent raid damage after a raid has started is against the rules, don't do it. 2. No alliances are allowed this season. 3. When raiding the first hostilities (Any combat or killing) starts the 3 hour raid timer. If by the end of the raid timer a raid has not been finished the aggressors must withdraw. Say something in Global if you want a clear indicator of when a raid timer has started. 4. A tribe that has had their main base raided may request a 36hr cool down, administration reserves the right to accept or deny this request if a raid is determined to not be potent enough to warrant a cool down. 5. Any tribe attempting to raid while on cool down, or trying to circumvent the cooldown rules, will have their cool down removed. 6. Repeated raiding of a tribe as they come off of cool down is considered griefing and will result in bans, and ORP protection removal by the offending tribe. 7. Item dropping is in bad form and discouraged. Tribes caught doing this will have their request for a cool down denied. 8. When combat is initiated on a defending tribe at their main base, a raid timer starts. 3hrs are allotted for combat involving that tribe. At the end of the timer all combat involving the defending tribe must cease. A defending tribe may then start their own timer against the attackers if prolonged combat is desired. Attacker has 2 attempts to setup a Fob before it is declared a failed raid. Successful or failed raids against the defending tribe cannot be repeated within a 72 hour period. The 72 hour period is void if the original attackers are raided by the original defenders. 9. Offline FOB prep will not be allowed. It denies the defenders any chance of stopping it. Screenshots are suggested to protect against combat logging. 10. Going out of your way to kill all of a tribe's tames is unacceptable, if they are not a threat they are not a target. Players may not store items in passive Dinos, so there is no reason to kill them. Any Dino that has been ridden or used during combat is considered a threat, whether it is passive or not. 11. Using wild Dinos to kill a tribes passives is forbidden, this is considered griefing and if caught may result in a permanent ban from Dwarf Star Gaming servers. 12. Tribes may have ONE main base per server that is protected from shelling/wiping. * This is to be noted with a clearly seen sign. 13. Tribes may have ONE outpost per server, this counts static taming pens away from their base, and ONE water pen per server if applicable. * This is to be noted with a clearly seen sign as outpost or water pen. 14. Needless destruction of a player’s main base for purposes of wiping them and driving them off the server is not permitted. Destruction of player/tribes only base before it reaches established status is only permitted if you move your main base to that location. Raiding is meant to be fun for everyone and people should be able to work on recovery during their raid cool down. This means no foundation wiping, no shelling, if you want to raid someone, do it with precision or do not do it at all. (Tribes breaching this rule will have this protection removed. This will be announced publicly.) 15. A single tribe may raid up to two tribes in a single day, PvP is fun but nobody likes a bully. If you raid with an alliance you can only raid once per day. If you have already raided a tribe you cannot join your alliance to raid another tribe, your tribe must do it solo or not attend. 16. Base locations may be taken ONLY when a base fails to meet land claim criteria. ALSO REFER TO RULES 12 AND 13 [-at least a 4x5 floor plan, two walls high, fully enclosed ](*) [-crafting stations ](*) [-made of metal ](*) /* Aggressors may only wipe and take an area if this is to be their first and primary base. * /* Aggressors have 24 hours to move their main base to the wiped location or it will be determined the base wipe was needless. * /* Violation of this rule may result in Aggressors tribe being structure wiped. *
Repercussions
1.Users repeatedly breaking General rule #1 will receive a 3 day suspension; followed by a permanent ban should the problem persist. 2. Any tribe attempting to raid a tribe on cool down will forfeit their own Dinos and structures to replace any the victimized tribe lost during a rule breaking attack. 3. The rules for building on platform Dinos are clearly laid out. Any platform Dino that breaches the rules will be destroyed on sight, no refunds will be given. 4. Server clutter is unnecessary; tribes caught repeatedly leaving temporary taming structures on the map, such as spike walls, risk having their ORP revoked for 24 hours, or tribe structure wipe. 5. Lying to and admin may result in a server ban. /* Players and tribes deemed to be toxic will have ONE warning from administration to cease their disruptive behavior, failure to comply will result in removal from the server for the betterment of all. *
